Description
Climb to the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa, on this unforgettable 2-day trek from Imlil. Guided by an experienced local mountain guide, this journey takes you through stunning landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains, traditional Berber villages, and rocky valleys. You’ll sleep in a mountain refuge and wake up early to conquer the summit. The panoramic views from the top stretch from the Marrakech plains to the edge of the Sahara Desert. This is a true bucket-list adventure for anyone visiting Morocco.
Itinéraire
Day 1: Imlil – Sidi Chamharouch – Toubkal Refuge
Meet your guide in Imlil and start the ascent through Aroumd village.Pass by the sacred site of Sidi Chamharouch, a pilgrimage stop.Hike through rugged terrain and enjoy scenic mountain landscapes.Arrive at the Toubkal Refuge (base camp) where you will spend the night.Dinner and overnight stay at the refuge (shared dormitory or private room).Included: Lunch, dinner, accommodation at the refuge.
Day 2: Summit of Mount Toubkal – Return to Imlil
Early morning departure for the summit of Mount Toubkal.Steady climb over rocky paths with incredible sunrise views.Reach the summit at 4,167 meters and enjoy a 360° panoramic view.Descend back to the refuge for breakfast and a short rest.Continue the descent all the way down to Imlil village.End of the trek and return to your accommodation or transfer option.
